Book One: Summons of the Void
Nestled in the Sea of Tāmtu, the Imperium governors the realm as though nations were a chest board. Sitting on the Drakos throne is the God of Gods and Drakos, the Divine Emperor. Through descendants of rich bloodline dating back to the First Dérkomai, the Nammu Family has ruled for centeries.
Can the powerful family maintain the bloodline? Or will the Divine Drakos close the Void of Souls? Ending the Dérkomai.
Rule by ice, direwood forests and towering mountains, the North is a hard land to call home. Those who are strong enough to live through the long winters find themselves in a shorter summer season.
For thousands of years, the country is split in two by the Verboden Slopes and two Dérkomai Houses. On the east, House Ulvevinter reigns and on the west, House Bjørn. Centuries later, only one Dérkomai Family rules over the North. The Ulvevinter Family. The winter wolf.
Their Household banner is a white direwolf's head in front of a field green. Their capital is the Ulvevinter Keep.
They’re known across the world by their trading ships. A cold hard earth does not yield crops well. Dependent on other Households for food, the Ulvevinter Household trades furs and precious gems exclusive to the mountains along with various stone and timber resources. And another, more secret resource.
One resource guarded by the ruling family. The Ulvevinter army. Forged not only by citizens, but trained soldiers. Soldiers who failed the most feared member of the Wheel of Guilds. One of whispers and myths.
A deadly, secretive militarize group known as the Forbidden Regiment. All Households use the Regiment as a specialize militia. But only if you have the coin at their price. A force known for its brutality and successful missions. But what goes on behind their stone walls?
Twenty years ago, from the start of the reign of the Sacred Emperor Kieran. A human Lord established himself as King. His claim tie to his ancestry blood line. The new King sent a request for liberation from the Imperium. Our merciful Emperor agreed to the new King's terms. Those who seek refuge from His Holiness, travel to Estovia. Seeking new beginnings and away from his influence. The new King established the kingdom’s capital, Silverkeep on top of an ancient temple. Many that scatter over the land.
However, little is known beyond the mountains. Temples with whispering secrets scatter the slopes. Those who venture beyond the mountains have not returned. Estovia is known for its nut trees and strange beasts lurking in the woods. Who knows what ancient creatures lie beyond the mountains?
