The Fifth Mark Series takes stage in a fantasy realm. A world with mixed mythological creatures and humans. Divided into nine Draconic Households and one human Kingdom. Each Household is centered around a Dérkomai royal family. Eight of nine Draconic Households pledge loyalty to the Divine Emperor in the Imperium. One Household denies the Emperor's rule, establishing itself as the False Clan. They wage war against the Imperium throne, and to the Divine Drakos.
